BADO are holding an Informal Orienteering 60 Minute Score Event on Thursday 29th August 2019.

The event is using the gates and fences of Pamber Forest. Pamber Forest is around 7 miles north of Basingstoke. The event format is simple to understand and suitable for people with no orienteering experience.

The event centre is the The Plough pub in Little London. RG26 5EP. There is a 5 minute walk from the Pub car park to the start, we will be leaving the Car Park at 6:15pm so make sure you are there in time. Registration is from 5:45pm to 6:10pm.

The organiser is Anne Tynegate. Please let her know if you plan to come.

Non members are welcome as we are keen to use this simple format to introduce new people to BADO. Please bring as many people as you can – just tell Anne who is coming.

Run, jog or walk to visit as many of the controls as you can in one hour, you just need a pen or pencil to write down a letter code to prove that have been to the control point.

We are using EMIT timing to log your start and finish time. If you do not have an Emit block then do not worry as we can provide one on the night.

  1. Hi Anne and All
Great event and great bunch of people, this evening in Pamber Forest, I really enjoyed it. Quite relieved when I found the first checkpoint, then managed to plan it out a bit more, got lost a few times, but managed to find my way again. Thank you all, Kev.
